The Fultondale Senior Activity Center opened on February 21, 2001. This center is open to all seniors 60 and over. The seniors can enjoy a sunroom that was built adjacent to the dining hall. There is plenty of sunshine and fresh coffee for everyone. You can just sit back relax and enjoy reminiscing with old friends along with making new ones.
There are approximately 1,000 members registered. The facility presently serves 115 to 120 people per day to the Fultondale residents and others in surrounding areas within Jefferson County.
A monthly calendar and menu is planned and provided for all participants. Daily activities include local competitors playing dominoes, rook, Mexican train, skip Bo, and wahoo. Extra activities are held throughout the year. During the summer months the seniors get together and have cookout’s and ice cream socials in the evenings. There are events planned around most holidays.
