Parks |
The local
residents volunteer their time to implement and coordinate t’ball,
softball, baseball, basketball, cheer-leading and football for
our kids to enjoy.
The City has
a park facility, Black Creek Park, located just off of highway
31. While A.T. Holt Park is in the process of being moved to its
new location, Black Creek Park is being used for youth activities.
This is also the home of the softball fields provided for our
residents, recreational and church leagues. There is a one mile
(lighted) walking track surrounded by a small stream that flows
along side for everyone to enjoy. You will find several people
walking and jogging around the track and those who just want to
enjoy the beauty of nature and having a picnic around the park.
For the family reunions and company picnics, there is a pavilion
available with tables provided that seats 100 people or more.
A bandstand is available for those who want to provide entertainment
during their picnic. |
