On we go to Week Four, with most teams glad to be off the road — especially those who hadn’t intended to travel in the first place — and back on familiar turf. Everyone except Hayden and Tabernacle Christian play at home this week.
The North Jefferson News Big Game this week features Thorsby at Fultondale in an important Class 2A Region 4 matchup.
“They’re 3-0, but they’re better,” Wildcat coach Keith Register said. “They gave ACA a run for their money. It will be tough.”
In other local games, Gardendale gets its first break from regional action as it hosts Chilton County; Mortimer Jordan hosts Springville in an important Class 5A Region 6 contest; Corner plays host to Dora, and Hayden goes to Walker. Tabernacle takes on Central Christian Academy on Thursday night in Selma.
