FULTONDALE — On Sunday, the city of Fultondale continued its work on repairing the lighting on Interstate 65 at exits 266 and 267. The work is a joint project of the city of Fultondale, Alabama Department of Transportation and Alabama Power to repair lighting on Interstate 65 and on U.S. Hwy. 31 in Fultondale. “Public safety is a top priority for us and with the upcoming holiday season we want to be proactive in our approach,” said Fultondale Mayor Jim Lowery. “So making sure these areas are well lighted is an important step.” Fultondale’s Sky Watch Tower and the Police Mobile Command Unit will be stationed in the Fultondale Promenade Shopping Center from before Thanksgiving until after Christmas.
